Talking about trauma can be painful and difficult.
One of the nice things about EMDR is that you don’t need to talk it out. That’s not what creates change here.

Nice to see that called out in this piece on addiction resulting from Trauma. Trauma can have a lot of impact and it’s not all Posttraumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD! Most trauma simply adds stress on a daily basis even when we’re not thinking about it.
